“MediScan AI has significantly improved the efficiency and quality of our medical record review process. As a company supporting AME, QME, and IME physicians, we manage large and often complex medical records every day. MediScan allows us to organize and review those records faster while still providing our physicians with the accuracy, quality and detail they need to formulate well-supported medical-legal opinions. It has become a valuable part of our workflow and has helped us deliver a better, more efficient service to our physicians.”
Sharp Medical Evaluators had 95+ physicians, but only three record review templates. The team needed to deliver each physician’s preferred review at scale while reducing record review costs and keeping preparation, QA, and delivery manageable across its network.
MediScan supports Sharp’s 250,000+ pages of record review each month in one shared workspace. Administrators, QA staff, and physicians work from the same case, with access suited to their role.
Once a case is uploaded to OrganizeMED, Sharp’s case management system, the API connection automatically brings it into MediScan, assigns the physician, and applies that physician’s preferred review template.
Build the MediView preset
Each physician can have their own Review of Records (ROR) template, or share one with colleagues who prefer the same format. MediViews save the record types, summary fields, grouping, and order that physician wants, without a limit on custom templates.
The team applies those preferences across assigned cases instead of rebuilding the review each time. Physicians get the level of detail and presentation they prefer, while staff keep a repeatable preparation process. MediScan can help build the presets alongside them.

Review with context
The finished review arrives as a hyperlinked Word document in OrganizeMED, where Sharp already manages its cases. Physicians can work from that familiar document and follow a link into MediScan to check the source page behind an entry.
The ROR is the starting point. Each physician also gets an interactive patient data room: a narrative case summary with source references, organized encounters, and the original documents. They can verify an entry, ask MediChat questions, or slice and dice the records by author, facility, specialty, and more as they develop their medical-legal opinions.
Open the tailored review as a hyperlinked Word document and follow a reference into the original records.

95+ physicians
Tailored reviews and access to their assigned patient data rooms.
Sharp also chose to add quality assurance to its review process. QA staff can compare summaries with the original records and make corrections directly in MediScan. Physicians then work from those same cases, with the detail and format tailored to their preferences.
